vegetable oil
Oil the plates of the cone makerPlace the batter on the hot plateA waffle

Heat the waffle cone maker, oil the plates to prevent the waffles from sticking as the batter has some sugar, place a tablespoon of the batter on the hot plate, and close the maker. Proceed as per the manufacturer's instruction; I needed 2 minutes 50 sec for each waffle to have it ready.

Remove the waffle from the panPlace the waffle on the boardRoll the waffleRoll over the cone roller
Now act quickly: remove the waffle from the plate and immediately roll the hot and still soft waffle using a cone roller. Continue with all batter. You now can serve the ice cream in your homemade ice cream cones. Attention: rolling the waffles is difficult because they are hot. Most important is to act quickly when the waffles are soft and hot because only then can you create the cone's shape. I wore cotton gloves, bought in the drugstore, and they worked amazingly. I was able to handle the waffles. Otherwise, use a kitchen towel.
