Waffles with Whipped Cream and Summer Berries

Ingredients
Method
300 g plain flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1 tbsp caster sugar
Pinch of salt
Add caster sugarAdd baking powderMix the idried ngredients
Mix all dried ingredients in a bowl.
 
2 large eggs
400 ml milk
90 g melted unsalted butter
Add the eggs to a glass bowlAdd the milkMix the eggs and milk togetherPour the egg mixture over the flour mixture and mixPour the melted batterMix to combine all into the homogenous batter
Add the eggs and milk to a separate bowl and mix. Pour the mixture gradually over the dry ingredients and mix all to get a homogenous batter. Then add the melted butter and mix again to combine all ingredients. Set aside for 20 minutes.
Ladle the batter on the waffle ironTransfer the ready waffles on the wire rack
Heat the waffle iron as per the manufacturer's instructions. Refer to your waffle irons manual for instructions on how to set your waffle irons settings. When hot, add a ladle/a half of a ladle of the waffle mixture or as much mixture as instructed on the hot iron and cook the waffles. I cooked my waffles about 3 minutes. Set aside the cooked waffle on a wire rack.

4 tbsp icing sugar
Icing sugar for dusting
Pour the cream into a bowlAdd the icing sugarWhipped cream
Pour the cream into a glass bowl, add sugar and whip the cream until fluffy.
Place the waffle on the plateDust with the icing sugarTop with the whipped creamTop with the berriesDust the berries with the icing sugar
Place the waffle on the plate, dust gently with the icing sugar, then top with the whipped cream and the berries. Dust berries with a little of the icing sugar and serve.
