Dried Fruits Beverage (Kompot z Suszu)

Preparing time: 5 min Cook time: 15-20 min
Ingredients Method
100 g dried organic apricots
100 g dried organic apples
100 g dried organic pears
200 g dried organic prunes
1 large fresh orange
2 cinnamon sticks
1 tsp cloves
1 star anise (optional)
2 l tap water

Transfer dried fruits and spices to a large pan, cover with water.
Set aside for 10 minutes. Bring to the boil and then cook for about 20 min.  Don’t allow the fruits to disintegrate; they should be soft but still keep their shape.
Add thick slices of orange and set aside. Keep it refrigerated. Strain the liquid to a glass jug. Place a piece of apple, pear, apricot, prune and orange in a glass and pour cold beverage over. You can either serve the fruits on the side. Dried Fruit beverage is suitable for vegans and vegetarians.
