2 vanilla pods
150 ml of 95% rectified spirit
Pour the sprit over the vanilla podsSeal the bottle
Using a sharp knife, slit the vanilla pods so the beans are exposed. Place the pods in a glass bottle and pour over the alcohol. Shake it a few times. The vanilla pods must be submerged. Seal the bottle tightly and store the extract in a cool, dark place. The extract will be ready after 5 months but perfect in a year.
